A Day Without A Woman

I woke up today in a little surprise because unknowing to me, it happened to be International a Day Without a Woman Day. I had no idea what this meant or what the significance was, so naturally, I went to Twitter to find out. I saw several posts among my peers as well as celebrities consisting of positivity and appreciation for the women in their lives. There were a couple school districts from my home that actually cancelled school for this particular day. I have never heard of this before but I did enjoy all of the positivity I was seeing on social media, it was nice to see it for a change. Naturally, people started questioning it, saying “Why isn’t there a day like this for men or any other genders?” or “Why is this necessary?”. I do not know the answers to these questions but I do know that more positivity is being spread and that is exactly what this world needs right now.
